Nature provides us with so many opportunities to self heal. By adding powerful, healing herbs into your diet, it can boost your healing journey. Here’s an amazing Green Pepper and Cilantro Salad Recipe you can use as a natural detox from heavy metals.

Heavy metals wreak havoc on our bodies. They can manifest as muscle aches and pains, chronic fatigue, tingling sensations, numbness, insomnia, muscle spasms, or brain fog. Do you experience any of these symptoms, or have frequent infections that antibiotics won’t touch?

If so, then you may be suffering from neurotoxin overload in your body. A neurotoxin is a substance that enters your nervous system and disrupts nerve transmissions throughout your body.

Our brain communicates by sending nerve transmissions to control bodily functions. So, it’s logical that if communication is disrupted, the body isn’t performing to its fullest capacity.

The bad news is, some of the most common types of neurotoxins are heavy metals, artificial food additives, preservatives, and dyes.

The good news is, there is a way to rid your body of these neurotoxins. It’s called Cilantro Chelation!

Cilantro Chelation means using Chinese parsley (Cilantro) to remove heavy metals from your bloodstream or other body tissue.

My Love/Hate Relationship with Cilantro

Many years ago, if you put a dish containing cilantro as one of the ingredients in front of me, I would have gagged. I did not like cilantro. It always left a metal taste in my mouth.

Even if someone tried to mask it and create a gourmet dish with complex flavors, the minute I put that spoonful in my mouth, I could pick out that wee bit of cilantro and not be able to eat it. Yuck!

But that was then, and times have changed.

Now I love, love, love cilantro!

And thank goodness for that because it is so healthy to eat. Did you know you can use it to extract heavy metals or other neurotoxins from your body?

Detox With Cilantro

CilantroThere was a remarkable study done by Dr. Yoshiaki Omura from the Heart Disease Research Foundation in New York. He found that cilantro could detoxify heavy metals from neuro-tissue. The cilantro would encourage the tissue to release the metals and excrete them in the urine.

What was interesting is that when he added cilantro to his patient’s diets, their urine measured higher levels of heavy metals which were then excreted from the body. Over time, heavy metal concentrations in the body dropped.

So incorporating it into your diet would sure seem like a good thing to me. Especially if you suffer from any of the symptoms I mentioned earlier.

There are a few ways to add cilantro to your diet. If you want to do some serious detoxing of neurotoxins in your body, you could take a cilantro dietary supplement. In fact, Dr. Omura would do just that. He created capsules filled with cilantro and helped his patients detox by taking his capsules. You need to be careful doing it this way as the heavy metal load on your body can become too great, and you may experience a healing crisis if you detox too quickly.

Another way to detox of neurotoxins is by adding cilantro to your diet with this cilantro pesto sauce. It is easy to make and looks delicious. I will be trying this recipe shortly.

However, my all time favorite way to incorporate cilantro into my diet is with this deliciously fresh salad made with a large handful of cilantro. It tastes great and my family raves about this salad every time I make it. We will be eating it a lot this summer, so imagine all the detoxing our bodies will be doing.
