How To Lower Your Blood Sugar By Using This

In DIY Healing, Food As Medicine, Healing You by carolynh1 Comment

As a manufacturer of all natural products, I am always researching new ways to improve my remedies to get optimal benefits from each and every ingredient I use. I am also passionate about helping others heal. So when I came across some crucial information I hadn’t seen anywhere before about naturally lowering your high blood sugar levels, I wanted to share it with you.

High Blood Sugar—The Sad Facts

According to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, High Blood Sugar (otherwise known as High Blood Glucose Levels, Hyperglycemia or Prediabetic), affects more than one out of three Americans aged 20 and older.

And if that dismal information isn’t enough, the same organization is predicting it is only going to get worse. Their data shows that three-quarters of those age 45 and above with high blood sugar levels will develop full-blown diabetes.

It is hard to believe that so many people are affected by blood sugar levels.

Lowering Blood Sugar Study

What Causes Your Blood Sugar Levels To Rise?

There are two main reasons your blood sugar may be elevated. The first reason is your body cannot produce enough insulin which is considered Type-1 diabetes. The second reason is that your body loses its ability to detect if your insulin levels are correct to process the glucose in your blood, otherwise known as insulin resistant or Type-2 diabetes.

What’s worse is that having elevated blood glucose levels is even more harmful to our health than previously thought.

New research demonstrates that elevated blood sugar levels contribute to many more adverse health conditions like memory loss, Alzheimer’s, increased risk of cancer, chronic inflammation, heart disease, kidney disease, and the list goes on and on.

So when I found a study that gives a proven, yet simple way to help reduce your levels of glucose in your body, I got all excited!

I was even more excited when I read that two spices that I use in my cough syrups are the key to lowering your blood sugar levels.

But then I learned something crucial about these two spices that I hadn’t seen anywhere before.

Reducing High Blood Sugar – The Study

This past week, I read an interesting study about reducing high blood glucose levels with either cinnamon or cloves, two spices I use in my all natural cough syrups. These two spices are powerful antioxidants, antimicrobials and work by acting as an anti-inflammatory agent which enhances insulin function.

It went on to say that if you take either of these two spices on their own (or combine the two), the outcome is pretty impressive.

In this study done in 2006, individuals who had been taking some level of clove supplementation every day for 30 days all showed a decrease in risk factors for diabetes and heart disease.

The interesting thing is that it didn’t matter how much clove you took. Individuals who took either 1, 2, or 3 grams of cloves a day for 30 days all showed a decrease in those risk factors. There was no significant difference in responses among the three amounts taken of cloves.

However, there was a significant difference in those who took some cloves and those who did not.

The results of taking cloves for only 30 days were:

  • Serum glucose decreased from an average of 225 to 150 mg/dl
  • Triglycerides decreased from an average of 235 to 203 mg/dl
  • Serum cholesterol dropped from 273 to 239 mg/dl
  • LDL decreased from 175 to 145 mg/dl

The results were quick and dramatic in decreasing these risk factors. With so many people suffering from high blood sugar, this eye-opening information could prove to be very helpful to those who are trying to heal.

But here’s the key. You have to take these two spices a certain way to obtain the same impressive results as in the study. If not taken in the way that is recommended, you may not get the same results.

Cinnamon and Clove Capsules

The Key To Getting Optimal Benefits From Cinnamon and Cloves

Here is the crucial piece of information that most people don’t know. And if you don’t do this, you may be wasting your time when taking cinnamon and clove because you may not get the same results as in the study.

The key to taking cinnamon and cloves for reducing high blood sugar levels is that you must ingest them in capsule form.

Why? Because our saliva contains a chemical compound which is harmful to the spices. When taken in pill form, the spices are protected from the chemicals in your saliva, and you get the full healing power of the spices.

Sounds simple, but this can make a huge difference and impact your healing.

If you can’t find cinnamon or clove in pill form, make them yourself. Capsules are easy to find at your local health food store. As we found in the study, it doesn’t matter so much the amount you take, you just need to start taking it.

Not sure how much to take? Find a good health care practitioner who can help.

Have you ever tried using Cinnamon or Cloves for lowering your blood sugar levels? What was your experience like?
