Relieve Your Pain Naturally With No Medication

In Healing You by carolynhLeave a Comment

Pain is a pain in the derriere. Doctors don’t cure pain. They only prescribe medications to help manage it. Unfortunately, with the medications come many side effects and drug interactions. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are many natural ways of to relieve your pain that are safe and easy to use. Why not try them first and see if they work? You can always go to the big guns later as they say.

With a holistic approach to healing, you don’t chase symptoms and then pop a pill to mask those symptoms. You take the time to invest in yourself and uncover where healing needs to begin.

People refer to healing the mind, body, and spirit for a reason. It’s because healing occurs on many levels and by peeling away any layers, you get to the real cause. Then you can take the steps to heal from your pain.

What’s Causing Your Pain?

There are many reasons why someone is in pain. You could have structural problems, weaknesses in your joints, muscle pulls and tears, etc. But since the principle of energy healing means we are energy beings, then it just stands to reason, there must be a disruption in your energy somewhere. Here are a few things that could be disrupting your energy flow.

Dehydration
If your body does not get an adequate amount of water, it has a hard time eliminating toxins. It also becomes inflexible. Think of the difference between bending a dry sponge or a wet one. A wet sponge is more pliable. And finally, water is a good conductor of electricity. It helps with your body’s electrical communication signals. For all these reasons, staying hydrated is probably the most important thing you can do to improve your pain.

Bacterial Inflammation
When bacteria gets into your joints and cavities, it causes inflammation and swelling which can lead to pain.

Diet – Inflammatory Fats
People who consume more pro-inflammatory omega-6 fats and less anti-inflammatory omega-3 fats experience pain. Omega-6 fats are your vegetable oils like corn, soy, or canola. Eating more omega-3 fats like olive oil, and fish oil help balance the fats in your system and leads to decreased inflammation which reduces pain.

Nightshade Vegetables
Many people are surprised when they learn that consuming foods from this plant group may be contributing to their pain and inflammation. The most popular nightshade vegetables are tomatoes, potatoes, all types of peppers, and eggplant. Other foods such as blueberries, huckleberries, goji berries and ashwagandha share the same inflammation-inducing alkaloids. You may want to avoid eating these types of foods if you are experiencing pain.

Foods That Trigger Pain
Dairy has been found to be one of the most prominent foods to cause joint pain. It’s linked to body pains, headaches, allergies, and digestive issues. But the trick is to get it completely out of your system. You may want to begin by cutting out dairy and eliminating it for at least two to four weeks to see if it will reduce your pain.

Sugar is bad for our health in so many ways, that’s why you should avoid it anyways. But when you have pain and inflammation, removing sugar from your diet is critical. If you are feeling any pain or just feel older than your years, try removing all sources of simple sugars from your diet. It could have a dramatic impact on how you feel.

Read labels carefully on products you buy to find any hidden sugars. Just look for any ingredient that has -ose at the end of it such as high-fructose, glucose, or lactose.

Living In A Toxic Body
If your body has become burdened by toxic things like environmental chemicals, smoking, too much alcohol, or negative thoughts, it manifests into disease and pain. I often refer to this as the barrel effect. This video explains the barrel effect and what you can do to reverse it.

Hormonal Imbalance
Hormone fluctuations occur due to age and can be disrupted in many ways. When hormonal imbalance goes unnoticed, it can manifest into pain.

Living An Inactive Lifestyle
A body in motion stays in motion! A body at rest only weakens. Our bodies were meant to move. Inactivity can lead to the deterioration of many body functions and contribute to your aches and pain. By exercising you are naturally releasing endorphins which are pain and stress fighters. I recommend trying Tai Chi, Yoga, Aerobics, or swimming to get your body in motion.

Some Simple Steps To Get Started

You are in pain for a reason, and unless you make changes, it may not go away. You might need to change some of your lifestyle choices and create your new normal. Take a look at your diet and make sure you are eating plenty of fresh foods. Be certain you are getting a healthy dose of omega-3s on your plate. If not, you can supplement with vitamin D, MSM, SAMe, Glucosamine/Chondroitin or cayenne pepper.

Pain Relief From Energy Healing Techniques

There are many excellent energy healing methods to help relieve pain. They work by releasing the congested energy somewhere in your body. Where there is pain, there are energy blocks. By releasing those blocks, your pain dissipates, sometimes very quickly. If you don’t know which healing method to choose, be sure to read my post on deciding on an alternative healing practice.

I have listed a few of my favorite alternative energy healing techniques that I have used to relieve pain in the past. I hope this helps!

Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – Tapping is a great method to try because I have seen it instantaneously relieve pain from many people. I have used it myself, and it has become one of my favorite healing techniques. It can be a powerful healing tool because it’s so easy to do. You can start by tapping along to YouTube videos. But to get the most out of this technique, you may want to seek help from a Tapping professional. They have an intuitive sense about getting to the cause of any issue, and that is when this technique can get real powerful.

Acupuncture – Acupuncture is an excellent way to release energy blocks in our bodies. This technique is one of the oldest healing methods known to man. It must be doing something since it’s still in use after thousands of years.

Chiropractor – I am hearing from so many people that chiropractors are using new and interesting energy healing techniques. It’s not just about the adjustments anymore. They find energy blocks through the spine and release them.

Cold Laser Therapy – Also known as Low-Level Laser Therapy is a treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue to relieve pain. It is also good for swelling, muscle spasms, and increased functionality.

Some other useful techniques that are worth trying for pain:

  • Chakra Balancing
  • Reiki
  • Crystal Therapy
  • Music Therapy
  • Yoga
  • Quantum Touch (Hands-on Healing)
  • Oxygen Therapy
    and so much more…

Pain Relief From Natural Products

For those times when you do need symptom relief, there are plenty of natural options available. Here are five of my recommendations:

1. If your old injury is still causing you grief or you experience minor aches or pains, this video reveals my favorite homeopathic remedy!

2. For pain in your joints or muscles, Topricin pain relief cream has a patented natural formula and focuses on healing the musculoskeletal system—joints, tendons, bursa, ligaments, and muscles.

3. Epsom salt has been used for hundreds of years to help all types of aches and pains. A simple soak in the tub can help soothe away the pain. Or add baking soda bath to rejuvenate, cleanse, and detox your skin.

4. Tiger Muscle Rub is a topical ointment that combines menthol (soothing sensation), and camphor (mild pain reliever) to ease minor muscle or joint pain.

5. Did you know I make a line of all natural and organic health products called Maty’s Healthy Products? Made from coconut oil (used to relieve inflammation caused by arthritis), and eucalyptus & peppermint essential oils (two oils that relieve pain), my all natural vapor rub is a soothing way to ease your pain.

Pain Relief From Herbs and Whole Foods

There is also an alternative to medication for pain, and it’s right in your kitchen! Yes, certain foods can ease aches from inflammation, block pain signals, and in some cases, heal underlying disease. Here are just a few of the healing herbs and whole foods you can add to your diet to help ease your pain.

Fresh Ginger is traditionally used for soothing your stomach, but it’s also an aspirin impersonator and anti-inflammatory to offer relief from arthritis, and muscle aches.

Turmeric contains an anti-inflammatory property called curcumin. It can protect the body from tissue destruction and joint inflammation. To release the curcumin from the spice, use it with black pepper.

Bromelain is used to treat muscle injuries and can be found in fresh pineapples.

Pomegranate Juice has a high content of antioxidants which play a role in fighting free radicals produced in the body reducing the symptoms of inflammation and joint pain.

Acai Juice is made from the acai berry (one of the healthiest berries you can find). One of the best sources of antioxidants, it is used to reduce pain and swelling.

Hot Peppers contains capsaicin which creates an endorphin rush in the body. Your body will produce endorphins as a response to block pain. Since your body identifies the heat from the pepper as pain, it will block the pain with endorphins.

Coconut Water assists in the nervous system function and transmission of electrical impulses in the body which may help ease symptoms of nerve pain and tingling. It also helps you stay hydrated.

Cherries are powerful antioxidants that block inflammation and inhibit pain enzymes, just like aspirin and other anti-inflammatories.

Salmon is high in Omega-3 fatty acids. By eating fish low in mercury and high in Omega3s, it can help relieve back pain.

Coffee helps reduce headache pain by narrowing dilated blood vessels that develop with headaches. But don’t overdo it and drink too much or it will have the opposite effect.

Mint helps prevent muscle spasms and relieves headaches. Brew a pain relieving tea by pouring boiling water over peppermint leaves. Add wintergreen leaves for an extra boost to help ease the pain.

Listen To Your Body

I believe your health is never at a plateau. You are either getting better, or you are getting worse. No matter where you are on your healing journey, always strive for getting better.

While medication has its place in healing and you should always listen to your doctor, don’t forget to listen to your instincts. No one knows your body better than you do.

If you’re having trouble identifying where your pain is originating from and are interested in an energy reading, I can tap into your energy and pinpoint weaknesses in your body. By finding the weakest parts and supporting them, and detoxing things that shouldn’t be there, your body will become stronger and mend itself. Learn more here.

I always say if it’s natural and safe, why not try it? Especially when relieving pain. It may help, but will not hurt you. That sounds like it is worth a try to me.
