Healing My Rheumatoid Arthritis: From Death Sentence to Revealing My Life Path

In Healing You by carolynhLeave a Comment

Life has a way of throwing a curveball at you when you least expect it.

When I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 34, it was like a death sentence to me. I had always been very athletic and led an active lifestyle. How could I live the life I loved if I couldn’t move?

The timing could not have been worse. I had two young boys at home and a newborn baby girl who was struggling with major heart defects.

Looking back now, I believe it happened for a reason. My diagnosis was a wake-up call telling me to change direction and get my life back on track.

The Pain Of Rheumatoid Arthritis

That time in my life was so stressful when my daughter was born that my body broke, and I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis. I experienced excruciating pain. It took 15 minutes just to get out of bed in the morning. There was no relief, and I was in constant pain. Whether I was standing or laying down, there was no comfortable position I could find.

Since my daughter was struggling with her health, it was important to breastfeed her to help keep her immune system strong. While breastfeeding, I couldn’t take any pain medication except for Tylenol.

I was desperate to regain my health, but I felt my doctors weren’t helping me. My clinical visits consisted of me trying to touch my toes, lift my hands, and bend my fingers. After asking how much pain it caused, they would then readjust my medication and send me on my way. Then they told me to come back in three months for a follow-up visit. It was crazy!

I felt all they were doing was monitoring the progression of this debilitating disease in my body, not helping me heal.

My Healing Journey Begins

When people ask me how I recovered from Rheumatoid Arthritis, I have no cut-and-dried answer to give them. But there was a pivotal moment in my life when I made the decision to reclaim my health and my life.

While driving home frustrated and afraid after one of my appointments, I realized I had to get control of my life. I needed to heal myself and help my daughter, not rely on others to do it for me.

It was at that moment; I began my real healing journey and never looked back.

The beginning started with a ton of research. I read anything and everything I could about holistic health. It didn’t matter how crazy or insane the information sounded; I couldn’t get enough. Even if it didn’t look like a plausible cure, I thought it couldn’t hurt to learn new ways to heal.

During my research, I discovered different alternative ways to heal and tried everything to see if it could potentially help either one of us. I detoxed my body and cleaned up my diet. I came up with all types of weird concoctions while at the same time, learning how to be mindful and present in the moment.

I was trying therapies that weren’t very common back then. Today, these therapies are popular like EFT, Quantum Touch, Trigger Point Therapy, and Reiki. Since people weren’t familiar with these unknown techniques back then, they thought I was crazy.

And yet, as I experimented with these different holistic practices, my symptoms started to improve and my pain began to diminish.

I studied many healing techniques and became certified as a Holistic Health Practitioner. I also became proficient in an Applied Kinesiology technique called Muscle Testing. This technique helped me develop my whole-food health products by enhancing age-old health remedies that had been around for years.

Healing From Rheumatoid Arthritis

One of the most significant changes I made to my lifestyle was to remove dairy and sugar from my diet. I noticed when I ate any dairy products or too many sweets; my joints would swell up and cause me pain.

Another practice that affected my healing was dealing with my emotions. When you are stressed, it can have a huge, negative impact on your healing efforts.

Today, I love tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) to help me overcome any issues. Tapping helped jump-start my healing progress during the times when I felt I had plateaued. I believe your health is never at a plateau. You are getting better, or you are getting worse. If you continue with energy healing, trust you are getting better, even if you don’t feel it.

I no longer live with the pain I once knew. I now know how to listen to my body and make adjustments when I begin to feel something is wrong. It might be a supplement, or it may be some extra rest. Whatever it is, I make the necessary adjustments, so the pain never comes back.

Today, I live pain-free. I feel younger now than when I was in my 30’s at the height of my painful disease. I now know you don’t have to live with Rheumatoid Arthritis because I was able to overcome it and heal myself.

My Path Revealed. A Change For The Better.

I don’t believe my story is a sad one and yours doesn’t have to be either. Yes, those first few years after my daughter’s birth were difficult. But that hardship catapulted a change for the better in my life.

That hardship gave me the courage to help pave my path to healing both of us. I firmly believe that challenges make us better, stronger people. For me, those problems not only made me stronger, but they led me to my real passion.

I found my destiny to help others begin their path to healing.

What I Wish More People Knew About Healing

By treating your illness as a blessing, you are viewing it as a positive in your life. A chance to get your life back on track. Even if you are healthy but feel you could be happier, it could be your wake-up call if you choose to listen to it.

1. Trust What Works For You
Find what works for you and do it. Don’t rely on others to control the outcome of your health. Do your research and always be open to experimenting with safe alternative approaches. You have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

With energy medicine, no healing goes to waste. Alternative healing always occurs, and there are no side effects or drug interactions to worry about. Trust the process and continue to do what feels right to you.

2. Change What Isn’t Working For You
Don’t continue to lead the life you have and expect a different outcome. Take inventory of your life and see what isn’t working and change it. Whether it is a simple change or a radical one, make it a positive one.

There are many roads to healing so don’t sit back and wait. Listen to your gut and try what feels right for you, even if people think you’re crazy. Don’t ignore subtle symptoms that could lead a to a debilitating disease.

3. Deal With Your Emotions
When emotional blocks are present, it’s much harder to overcome a serious illness. I believe that dealing with your emotions, finding your happy place, and gaining a purpose will catapult your healing to the next level. It’s not just a luxury; it’s essential to proper healing.

We All Have The Power To Heal

I want people to know that each of us has the power to heal. Our body knows how to heal; we just need to get out of its the way.

We have the power to know what professionals can help us on our journey to healing and to inform ourselves of what western medicine is not telling us. We have the ability to quiet our minds and our souls to reach within for an answer to the problems we are facing. Most importantly, we have the power to educate ourselves with the knowledge to know what is right for our bodies.

These days, I listen to my body. If I feel something is not quite right, I make adjustments. Maybe I take a supplement, meditate or get extra rest. Whatever it is, I make positive changes.

Now when presented with smaller obstacles in my path, I stop and think. Is there another way I can go that will be better for me? If so, I turn and head in that direction.

Life is an incredible journey full of discovery and learning. By viewing your afflictions as blessings, you give yourself a gift that will last a lifetime.
